About this blog

This blog is written by the team behind Culpable, a free, ad-free crime sudoku in English, Spanish and Catalan, made in Catalonia. The person behind it is Òscar Escudero, who discovered Murdoku the way everyone did, with the book in his hands, and decided to build an engine that generates cases endlessly, checking that every one has exactly one solution.

Why a blog about Murdoku. Because the questions Culpable's players ask us are the same ones anyone asks when they open the book: what "next to" means, why case 32 won't come out, what to do when the eighty are done. We have spent a year turning those questions over to design the game, so we might as well write the answers down.

What we are not. We have no connection with Manuel Garand, Murdoku's author, or with his publishers. Murdoku is a trademark of its owners; here we write about the book the way any reader would, and Culpable is a different game with the same underlying rules, not a version of the book.

How this is paid for. The Amazon links in the articles are affiliate links: if you buy through them we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We don't take money for reviews, we don't run sponsored posts, and Culpable has no ads and no in-game purchases.
