What’s in it

The thread of the third book is a journey: the 80 cases are spread across every continent, Antarctica included. Among the announced stops: Paris, Monaco, Kyoto, Fiji and Arusha in Tanzania. Every setting is a new floor plan, and in Murdoku that isn’t decoration: a Kyoto market and an Antarctic station have different furniture, walls and windows, which is exactly what changes the logic from one case to the next.

What doesn’t change is the rules. It is the same game as the first book: one person per row and column, furniture you can be on and furniture you can only stand next to, and the murderer is whoever is left alone with the victim. If the second book felt harder than the first, expect the third to keep that curve: same page count as Back in Time, cases ordered from easy to expert.

And a fourth, Beyond the Grave, has already been announced, with no date yet.

Translations

The Spanish and Catalan editions of volumes 1 and 2 followed the originals within months; neither publisher has announced volume 3 yet. We’ll update this page when they do.
